CIBP shortlisted as a finalist in The European Association Awards 2017 for two categories

Awesome news from the European Association Awards 2017, the honor event that recognizes excellence and exceptional quality delivered by associations across Europe.

Quoting the organizers of the judging process: “The quality of entries has been outstanding, setting the benchmark for European associations who wish to reward achievements, best practice and celebrate the impact their organization has on behalf of its members. The European Association Awards are set to become a firm fixture in the diary for years to come.”

CIBP, with her project has been shortlisted as a finalist in two different categories: Best Provision of Industry Information and Intelligence and Best Networking Event categories

In particular, the Global Research on Augmented Collaborative Economy (GRACE16) has been selected as finalist for the category Best Provision of Industry Information and Intelligence

The GRACE16 Intelligence Report explores the potential of a novel prototype model for cross-sector collaboration between Cooperative and Popular banks and other Cooperative enterprises, through digital platforms, Internet of Things (IoT), Collaborative Commerce (C-Commerce), to combine their capabilities and harness the power of cross-sector value networks.

Beside this great achievement that that recognize the quality and merit of the CIBP research efforts and results, the Confederation is also running as finalist in the category Best Networking Event category.

The judging panel had been in fact impressed by the impact created by the GRACE16 Hackathon that took place from 10 to 12 October 2016 in Quebec City at the occasion of the 2016 International Summit of Cooperatives. During this strategic dialogue, guided by Dr Filippopoulos of Shakesteer, CIBP has gathered 32 leaders and experts from 19 countries representing 10 different cooperative sectors to design a cross-sectoral collaborative ecosystem.

In this platform based ecosystem, the cooperatives have been redesigned as digital asset management and Internet of Things (IoT) capability-driven organisations, that aim to build a fairer digital society and serve customers’ and members’ needs, with real-time services on an any-market, any-time and any-where basis.

Winning one of the award will be a great success, but being shortlisted in the final represent already a benchmark of quality of CIBP activities that should bring pride for CIBP members and the team of the General Secretariat.

We now look forward to the final ceremony on 24 February 2017, where the European Association community will gather together for an afternoon of celebration and networking.
